‘Rangoon’ star Saif Ali Khan has ended his paternity leave by resuming the shoot of his upcoming film ‘Chef’. The 46-year-old actor, who recently became a father for the third time, has reportedly signed another film.
The film titled ‘Kalakandi’ and would be directed by ‘Delhi Belly’ writer Akshat Verma. Reportedly, the movie will present three parallel stories that happen through a single night in Mumbai. It will be shot across South Mumbai, and Saif’s character is reportedly that of a terminal cancer patient who resolves to try out the vices, he hadn’t until then, be it smoking, drinking and consuming narcotics.
Recently, an image of Saif’s son Taimu Ali Khan was leaked on the internet. Mommy Kareena and Daddy Saif were spotted at the Mahindra Blues Festival in association with the Times of India on Sunday evening.
A source close to the development told a tabloid, “Saif’s character discovers that he has cancer and is dying. He lives in denial for a while. Then, with his brother’s wedding coming up, he decides to live life to the fullest, trying out everything he hadn’t so far, including smoking, drinking and tripping on acid.”
Also apart from Saif, there will be also Kunaal Roy Kapur and Sobhita Dhulipala who will have an entirely different track simultaneously going on along with Saif’s story. There is also a third track which will have Vijay Raaz and Deepak Dobriyal who play the role of the gangsters. Although the three stories will go parallel in the movie, there will be some connection in between them at some point of time. We also have seen such parallel stories in a same movie through flicks like Masaan, Life in a Metro, Shor in the city and such others.
