We have all been through the struggle- smudged eyeliner, weird lipstick lines, caked up flakey face. Worry no more! Here are a few ways to make sure your makeup stays intact and you look stunning every time your camera catches you unawares by switching to selfie mode.
Before putting on your makeup or primer just make sure your moisturiser has been completely soaked into your skin. Ideally, you should put the moisturiser in at least half an hour before you start your makeup, but if you’re feeling lazy and want to sleep those extra five minutes, You can either use a lightweight serum or dab your face with single-ply tissue five minutes after applying your moisturiser. This will make sure your face has the ability to hold on to the makeup.
All primers are of utmost importance in your makeup routine, so do not skip your primer routine. Make sure you prime your face before you get any makeup on there. Use an eye shadow primer to ensure your eye makeup stays put. If you’re a fan of the matte lippies, a lip primer or a coat of concealer is a must. Prime your lashes before you apply mascara for that va-va-voom effect.
Set it straight
Do not forget to set your concealer with translucent powder and setting spray. If not done right or if skipped, after a few hours you might see a flaky cracked up under-eye and no one wants to see that!
We are all huge fans of a matte lip, but the constant struggle of being nervous about it fading weirdly kills us all. Here’s a way to make your matte lip last all day. Start off with a gentle scrub and wipe routine. Then slather on some lip balm while you work on the rest of your face. Dab and wipe the lips to make sure all the lip balm that isn’t soaked into the skin is off your lips. Do not skip using a lip liner. Even though it is called a lip liner, make sure you fill in your lips with it. Apply one coat of your lippie and dab it with tissue. Apply a second coat and then use a thin sheet of tissue and place it on your lips. Dust lightly with translucent or baby powder and voila! Kiss-proof lips are all yours.
Flyaways no fly
In case you are out of eyebrow gel, just spray some mild hairspray on a toothbrush and brush it lightly over your brows once you are done filling them in, that should keep them on fleek all day.
